Mr Cresswell originally comes from UK where he was educated and gained an MSc degree in Minerals Engineering at London University. He has worked in various countries around the world on the design of new mines and is currently a Process Engineering Consultant at DRA Plant Design Engineers specializing in the coal industry.
He emigrated to South Africa in 1985 and is married to Clare a Physiotherapist. They have two teenage children both in local high schools. He was introduced to Sister Natalie by KNF’s indefatigable fund raiser Sue Peiser through their church and due to his interest in children’s education agreed to became Chairman of KNF shortly after its foundation in September 2004. Mark considers that it is a great privilege to work with someone as inspiring as Sister Natalie and his aim is to steadily increase the funding and infrastructure of Wings of Hope school in order to make is self sustaining.
